I really do love the Blacksad comics, which was brought to my attention from my wife, who is a huge Blacksad fan. The art style is incredible, and I definitely think the story lends to some pretty cinematic storytelling. As a fan of noir in general I pictured him as a Jack Nicholson type in Chinatown. The movie could be done by taking live actors and mapping their faces digitally.

Gnomon Class Demo
In the deep. Been on a serious Lovecraft kick for a quite a while now, so I thought another tentacled monstrosity would be fun. All Zbrush render and I'll probably throw him in Keyshot next.
Edit: did that. Added spooky lighting and rain. And slime. gotta have slime.

Revealing Creatures Pt 2
Pt 2 from my revealing creatures lecture with UArsty. Where I talking about modeling and designing a creature and then using features like Zremesh, Transpose master, and pose our creatures into several unique poses and giving him more character, This was a lot of fun to do, I didn't get to all the details that I was hoping for, but I think it's enough to illustrate the process, of course one could spend days and days detailing things like these.
Had a lot of fun in the class, thanks to everyone who attended.
